A Description of the Godly

¹Lord , who can dwell in your tent?[#15:1 Ps 61:4]

Who can live on your holy mountain?

²The one who lives blamelessly, practices righteousness,

and acknowledges the truth in his heart —

³who does not slander with his tongue,[#15:3 Pr 10:18]

who does not harm his friend

or discredit his neighbor,

⁴who despises the one rejected by the Lord[#15:4 Lit in his eyes the rejected is despised]

but honors those who fear the Lord ,

who keeps his word whatever the cost,

⁵who does not lend his silver at interest[#15:5 Lv 25:35–38; Dt 33:19]

or take a bribe against the innocent —

the one who does these things will never be shaken.
