Daily Offerings

¹YHWH spoke to Moses, saying,

²“You are to command the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘Y’all be careful to present my offering, my food for my offerings made by fire, as a pleasant aroma to me, in their appointed time.’

³You are to tell them, ‘This is the offering made by fire which y’all must offer to YHWH: two male lambs a year old without defect for a continual burnt offering every day.

⁴You are to offer the one lamb in the morning, and offer the other lamb at evening,

⁵with one tenth of an ephah of fine flour for a meal offering, mixed with the fourth part of a hin of beaten oil.[#28:5 1 ephah is about 22 liters or about 2/3 of a bushel; #28:5 A hin is about 6.5 liters or 1.7 gallons.]

⁶It is a continual burnt offering which was ordained in Mount Sinai for a pleasant aroma, a food offering for YHWH.

⁷Its drink offering is to be the fourth of a hin for each lamb. You are to pour out a drink offering of beer to YHWH in the holy place.[#28:7 One hin is about 6.5 liters, so 1/4 hin is about 1.6 liters or 1.7 quarts.]

⁸The other lamb you are to offer at evening. As the meal offering of the morning and its drink offering, you are to offer it. This is an offering made by fire, a pleasant aroma to YHWH.

Sabbath Offerings

⁹“‘On the Sabbath day, you are to offer two male lambs a year old without defect, and two tenths of an ephah of fine flour for a meal offering mixed with oil, and its drink offering:[#28:9 1 ephah is about 22 liters or about 2/3 of a bushel]

¹⁰this is the burnt offering of every Sabbath, in addition to the continual burnt offering and its drink offering.

Monthly Offerings

¹¹“‘At the beginning of every month, y’all are to present a burnt offering to YHWH: two young bulls, one ram, seven male lambs a year old without defect,

¹²and three tenths of an ephah of fine flour for a meal offering mixed with oil, for each bull; and two tenth parts of fine flour for a meal offering mixed with oil, for the one ram;[#28:12 1 ephah is about 22 liters or about 2/3 of a bushel]

¹³and one tenth part of fine flour mixed with oil for a meal offering to every lamb, as a burnt offering of a pleasant aroma, a food offering for YHWH.

¹⁴Their drink offerings are to be half a hin of wine for a bull, the third part of a hin for the ram, and the fourth part of a hin for a lamb. This is the burnt offering of every month throughout the months of the year.

¹⁵Also, one male goat for a sin offering to YHWH is to be offered in addition to the continual burnt offering and its drink offering.

The Passover

¹⁶“‘In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, is YHWH’s Passover.

¹⁷On the fifteenth day of this month there is to be a feast. Unleavened bread is to be eaten for seven days.

¹⁸On the first day of the month, there is to be a holy convocation. Y’all must do no regular work.

¹⁹Y’all are to present an offering made by fire, a burnt offering to YHWH: two young bulls, one ram, and seven male lambs a year old, without defect.

²⁰Their meal offering is to be fine flour mixed with oil. For a bull, y’all are to offer three tenths and two tenths for the ram.

²¹You are to offer one tenth for every lamb of the seven lambs,

²²and one male goat for a sin offering, to make atonement for y’all.

²³Y’all are to offer these in addition to the burnt offering of the morning, which is for a continual burnt offering.

²⁴In this way y’all are to offer daily, for seven days, the food of the offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to YHWH. It is to be offered in addition to the continual burnt offering and its drink offering.

²⁵On the seventh day y’all are to have a holy convocation. Y’all must not do any regular work.

Offerings for The Festival of Weeks

²⁶“‘On the day of the first fruits, when y’all present a new meal offering to YHWH in y’all’s feast of weeks, y’all are to have a holy convocation. Y’all must not do any regular work.

²⁷But y’all must present a burnt offering for a pleasant aroma to YHWH: two young bulls, one ram, seven male lambs a year old;

²⁸and their meal offering, fine flour mixed with oil, three tenths for each bull, two tenths for the one ram,

²⁹one tenth for every lamb of the seven lambs;

³⁰and one male goat, to make atonement for y’all.

³¹Besides the continual burnt offering and its meal offering, y’all are to offer them and their drink offerings. They are to be without defect.
