¹God presides in the divine assembly.

Hᴇ judges among the gods.

²“How long will y’all judge unjustly,

and show partiality to the wicked?” Selah.

³“Y’all are to defend the weak and the fatherless.

Y’all are to maintain justice for the poor and the destitute.

⁴Y’all are to rescue the weak and those in need.

Y’all are to deliver them from hand of the wicked.”

⁵They don’t know or understand.

They wander around in darkness.

All the foundations of the earth are shaken.

⁶I said, “Y’all are gods,

all y’all are sons of the Most High.

⁷Nevertheless y’all will die like humans,

and y’all will fall like one of the rulers.”

⁸Rise up, God, judge the earth,

for you inherit all of the nations.
