Ezekiel 44

The Prince

1Then he brought me back to the outer gate of the sanctuary that faces east, but it was closed.

2The Lord said to me, “This gate must remain closed and not be opened. No man may enter through it, because the Lord , the God of Israel, has entered through it. Therefore, it is to remain closed.

3The prince, because he is the prince, may sit in it to eat food in the presence of the Lord . He must enter through the vestibule of the gateway, and he must go out the same way.”

The Purity of the Temple

4Next, he brought me through the north gate to the front of the temple. I looked, and the Glory of the Lord had filled the temple of the Lord , and I fell on my face.

5The Lord said this to me.
