Song of Solomon 4

Groom’s Praise of His Bride

1Oh my! You are beautiful, my beloved![#Literally “Behold!” Or “Look!”]

Your eyes are doves

Your hair is like a flock of goats

2Your teeth are like a flock of shorn ewes

all of them bearing twins,

3Your lips are like a thread of crimson,

Your temple is like pomegranate

4Your neck is like the tower of David,

a thousand ornaments are hung on it,

5Your two breasts are like two fawns,

6Until the day breathes and the shadows flee,

7You are completely beautiful, my beloved!

The Mountains and Fragrance of Lebanon

8Come with me from Lebanon, my bride![#Or “You must come”]

Look from the top of Amana,

from the dwelling places of the lions,

9You have stolen (my) heart, my sister bride!

10How beautiful is your love, my sister bride!

11Your lips drip nectar, my bride;

The Locked Garden of Delights Is Unlocked

12A garden locked is my sister bride,

13Your shoots are an orchard of pomegranates with choice fruit,[#Or “your channel”; #Literally “fruit of choice things”]

14nard and saffron, calamus and cinnamon spice with all trees of frankincense,

15A garden fountain, a well of living water,

16Awake, O north wind! Come, O south wind!

Let my beloved come to his garden,
