Psalms 130

Psalms 130

Waiting for the Redemption of the Lord

1Out of the depths I have cried to You, O Lord ;[#Ruth 2:4]

2Lord, hear my voice!

Let Your ears be attentive

To the voice of my supplications.

3If You, Lord , should mark iniquities,[#Lam. 3:55]

O Lord, who could stand?

4But there is forgiveness with You,[#(Nah. 1:6; Mal. 3:2); Rev. 6:17]

That You may be feared.

5I wait for the Lord , my soul waits,[#(1 Kin. 8:39, 40; Jer. 33:8, 9)]

And in His word I do hope.

6My soul waits for the Lord[#Ps. 119:81]

More than those who watch for the morning—

Yes, more than those who watch for the morning.

7O Israel, hope in the Lord ;[#Ps. 119:147]

For with the Lord there is mercy,

And with Him is abundant redemption.

8And He shall redeem Israel[#(Ps. 86:5, 15; Is. 55:7)]

From all his iniquities.
