¹And Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] abode in Sheetim [The Acacias] , and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Mo’av [Seed of my Father] .

²And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.

³And Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] joined himself unto Ba’al-P’or [Lord of the Opening] : and the anger of the Lord -Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) was kindled against Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] .

⁴And the Lord -Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) said unto Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] , Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the Lord -Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) against the sun, that the fierce anger of the Lord -Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) may be turned away from Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] .

⁵And Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] said unto the of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] , Slay you2f every one his men that were joined unto Ba’al-P’or [Lord of the Opening] .

⁷And when Pinchas [mouth of brass] , the son of El’azar [God has helped] , the son of Aharon [Bright, Very High] the priest, saw [it] , he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand;

⁸And he went after the man of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] , and the woman through her belly. So the plague was detained (held) from the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] .

⁹And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.

¹⁰And the Lord -Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) spoke unto Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] , saying,

¹¹Pinchas [mouth of brass] , the son of El’azar [God has helped] , the son of Aharon [Bright, Very High] the priest, has turned my wrath away from the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] , while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] in my jealousy.

¹²For what reason say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace:

¹³And he shall have it, and his seed after him, [even] the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God-Elōhīm (The Living Word) [The Many Powered] , and made an atonement for the people of Yisra’el [He Holds Onto The Heel Of God] .

¹⁴Now the name of the Israeli that was slain, [even] that was slain with the Midyani woman, [was] Zimri [My Music] , the son of Salu [Weighted] , a prince of a chief house among the Shimoni.

¹⁵And the name of the Midyani woman that was slain [was] Kozbi [My Lie] , the daughter of Tzur [Rock] ; he [was] head over a people, [and] of a chief house in Midyan [Strife] .

¹⁶And the Lord -Yehōvah (Messiah Pre-Incarnate) spoke unto Moshe [He Who Draws Out Of The Waters] , saying,

¹⁷Vex the Midyanim [Strife] , and strike them:

¹⁸For they vex you with their wiles, which they have beguiled you in the matter of P’or [Cleft (split hoof; an opening, break or split)] , and in the matter of Kozbi [My Lie] , the daughter of a prince of Midyan [Strife] , their sister, which was slain in the day of the plague for P’or [Cleft (split hoof; an opening, break or split)] ’s sake.
