chapter two

¹children my, this write I you (PL), so that you (PL) shall not sin. and when someone sins yes, have we a advocate (righteous) with the Father, Yehoshua the Moshiach, the righteous;

²and He is the (sacrifice) atonement for our sin, and not only for ours alone, but also for the whole world.

³and by this know we, that we know Him: when we keep His commandments.

⁴who it says: I know Him, and keeps not up His commandments, that one is a liar, and the truth is not in Him;

⁵whoever however it keeps indeed up His word, becomes Hashem's love truly perfect in Him. by this know we, that we are in Him:

⁶who it says, that he remains in Him, this one is obligated to live so, as He has lived.

⁷beloved, I write you (PL) not any new commandment, but an old commandment, which you (PL) have had from beginning on; the old commandment is the word, which you (PL) have heard.

⁸again write I you (PL) a new commandment, which is truth in Him and in you (PL); because the darkness passes away, and the true light shines already.

⁹who it says, that he is in the light, and hates the brother his, that (one) is (still) in the darkness until now.

¹⁰who it has love his brother, that (one) remains in the light, and any stumbling block is in him not there.

¹¹whoever however the one hates his brother, that (one) is in the darkness, and walk in the darkness, and knows not where there he goes, because the darkness has him blinded the eyes.

¹²I write to you (PL), children, because the sin are you (PL) forgiven become on account of His Name.

¹³I write to you (PL), fathers, because you (PL) know Him, Who is from beginning on. I write to you (PL), young men, because you (PL) have overcome was the evil (one) (Satan). I have written to you (PL), children, because you (PL) know the Father.

¹⁴I have written to you (PL), fathers, because you (PL) know Him, who is from beginning on. I have written to you (PL), young men, because you (PL) are strong, and Hashem's word abides in you (PL), and you (PL) have overcome did the evil (one) (Satan).

¹⁵have not love (for) the world, also not the things, which are in the world. if one has love (for) the world, is the Father's love not in him.

¹⁶for all, which finds self in the world, the covetousness of the flesh and the lusts of the eyes and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but of the world.

¹⁷and the world passes away and the covetousness thereof; whoever however it does Hashem's will, that (one) has an existence on forever.

¹⁸children, it is the last hour; and as you (PL) have heard, that the anti-Moshiach comes, so are now there a many opponents of the Moshiach; therefore know we, that it is the last hour.

¹⁹from us are they gone out, but they were not been of us; because if they would have been of us, would they have remained with us; but (they are gone out) so that they should known be, that they all are not of us.

²⁰and you (PL) have an anointing from the Holy One blessed (be) He, and all of you (PL) have knowledge.

²¹I have you (PL) not written, because you (PL) know not the truth, but because you (PL) (do) know it, and because (you (PL) know, that) any lie is not out of the truth.

²²who is the liar, if not the (one), who denies away, that Yehoshua is the Moshiach? the this one is the anti-Moshiach, who denies the Father and the Son.

²³everyone, who denies the Son, has also not the Father; who what is confess in the Son, this one has the Father also.

²⁴let remain in you (PL) this, which you (PL) have heard from beginning on. if it will remain in you (PL) this, which you (PL) have heard from beginning on, will you (PL) also remain in the Son and in the Father.

²⁵and the these is the promise, which He has us promised: the eternal life.

²⁶these (things) have I you (PL) written about the (ones), who mislead you (PL).

²⁷and (as for) you (PL), the anointing, which you (PL) have received from Him, remains within you (PL), and you (PL) require not, that anyone shall you (PL) teach; rather as His anointing teaches you (PL) about all things, and is truthful, and not any lie, and as it has you (PL) taught, so shall you (PL) abide in Him.

²⁸and now, children, remain in Him; so that when He will revealed be, shall we have boldness, and ourselves not need to be ashamed before Him at His coming.

²⁹if you (PL) know, that He is righteous, shall you (PL) know, that (but) also every one, who does devote (self) do in righteousness is fathered of Him.
