chapter twelve

¹and a great portent has self appear in heaven: a Woman dressed with the sun, and the moon beneath her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars;

²and she is pregnant and is crying out from birth pain and pains (going) to child.

³and an other sign has self appear in heaven; and (look) here a great snake, fire red, with seven heads and ten horns, and on the heads its seven diadems.

⁴and its tail drags down a third share of the stars of heaven, and has them flung/hurled on the earth; and the snake has self stand before the woman, who was in the process with a giving birth, so that when she will have her child, shall it (the snake) it devour.

⁵and she did have a son male, who will rule over all nations with an iron rod (Psalms 2, 8-9); and her child is caught up become to Hashem and to His throne of glory.

⁶and the woman is fled in the wilderness into, where she did have a place prepared by Hashem, so that one shall she there feed one thousand two hundred and sixty days.

⁷and it is became a war in heaven: Michael and his angels were at war held with the snake; also the snake and its angels have war held;

⁹and the great snake is thrown down become, the Nachash the ancient, who is called devil and Satan, who has misled the whole populated world; he is hurled down become on the earth, and his angels are hurled down become with him.

¹⁰and I have heard a loud voice in heaven say: now is come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our G-d, and the rule of His Moshiach; because hurled down is become the accuser of our brothers, who has them accused before our G-d day and night.

¹²on account of this rejoice yourselves, you (PL) heavens, and you (PL), who dwell in them. woe to the earth and to the sea! because the devil did come down to you (PL), having an immense wrath, knowing, that he has only a short time.

¹³and when the serpent did see, that it is hurled down become on the earth, did it persecute the woman, who has born the male child.

¹⁵and the serpent has spit out from its mouth behind the Woman water, like a flood, so that she shall carried away be by the current.

¹⁶and the earth did come the Woman to help, and the earth did open its mouth, and swallowed up the flood, which the serpent did spit out of its mouth.

¹⁷and the serpent is become furious over the Woman, and is went away war to wage with the remaining of her seed, who keep up Hashem's commandments and hold the witness of Yehoshua.

¹⁸and it (the serpent) has self stand on the sand by the sea.
