chapter six

¹and I did see, when the Lamb had opened one of the seven seals, and did hear one of the four living creatures say, as with the voice of a thunder: come!

²and I have seen, and look a white horse, and the (one), who is sat thereon, has had a bow; and it is him given become a crown; and he is gone out a conqueror, and so as conquer to do.

³and when He has opened the second seal, have I heard the second living creature say: come!

⁴and it is went out an other horse, flame (colored) red; and the one, who is sat thereon, was given to take away the peace of the earth, and that there (be) let kill one the other; and it is him given was a great sword.

⁵and when He has opened the third seal, have I heard the third living creature say: come! and have seen, and look a black horses; and the one, who is sat thereon, has had a scale in his hand.

⁶and I did hear as it were a voice midheaven of the four creatures say: a measure of wheat for a denarius, and three measures of barley for a denarius; and the oil and the wine shall you (SG) not damage.

⁷and when He has opened the fourth seal, have I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say: come!

⁸and have seen, and look a pale green horse; and the one, who is sat thereon, his name is the death; and the Sheol deepest is him followed. and it is them given become authority over a fourth part of the earth, to kill with the sword, and with famine, and with the death (plague), and by the wild beasts of the earth.

⁹and when He has opened the fifth seal, have I seen under the altar the souls of the ritually slaughtered on account of Hashem's word and on account of the witness, which they have had;

¹⁰and they have shouted with a loud voice, so to say: until when, O L-rd, holy and true, will you not judge and not take revenge for our (al kiddush HaShem) blood of the inhabitants on the earth?

¹²and I did see, when He did open the sixth seal, and it is become a great earthquake; and the sun is become black as a sackcloth of hair, and the whole moon is become as blood (Joel 2, 10.);

¹³and the stars of the heaven are fall on the earth, as a fig tree sheds down its unripe fruit, when shaken of a great windstorm.

¹⁴and the heaven is vanish, as a scroll becomes rolled up; and all mountains and islands are pushed away become from their places. (Yeshayah 34, 4.)

¹⁵and the kings of the earth, and the great people, and the chief people, and the rich, and the powerful, and all slave and free men, have themselves hidden in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains;

¹⁶and have said to the mountains and rocks: fall on us, and hide us from the face of the One, Who sits on the throne of glory, and from the wrath of the Lamb! (Yeshayah 2, 19-21.)
