chapter nine

¹and the fifth angel did sound (his shofar), and I did see a star fall down from heaven on the earth; and it is (to) him given become the key of the shaft of abyss.

²and he did open up the abyss of the abyss; and it is ascended up a smoke out of the abyss, as the smoke of a immense furnace; and the sun and the air are darkened become by the smoke of the abyss.

³and from the smoke are going out locusts on the earth; and it is them given become power, like the scorpions of the earth have power.

⁴and it is them told become, that they should not harm the grass of the earth, nothing greenery, not any tree, except those men, which have not Hashem's seal on their foreheads.

⁵and it is them granted become, that they should them not kill, but to torment five months long; and their torment was like the pain of a scorpion, when it stings a man.

⁶and in those days will the mankind seek the death, and it never way not find; and will desire to die, and the death will from them flee.

⁷and the form of the locusts was similar to horses readied to a war; and on their heads as crowns likened to gold, and their faces, as the faces of mankind.

⁸and they did have hair, like the hair of women, and the teeth their were become as the teeth of lions.

⁹and they did have armor of breast shields, like armor of breast shield of iron; and the sound of their wings was like the sound of chariots, when a many horses (are) running into a battle.

¹⁰and they had tails, like scorpions and barbs, and in their tails lies their power, to harm the mankind five months long.

¹¹they had over themselves a king, the angel of the abyss; on language holy calls he Abaddon, and in Greek has he the name Apollyon (Destroyer/Corrupter).

¹²the first woe did pass; here comes yet two woes after that.

¹³and the sixth angel did blow, and I did hear a voice from the four horns of the golden altar, which stands before Hashem,

¹⁴saying to the sixth angel, who did have the trumpet: tie off the four angels, who are bound by the great river Euphrates.

¹⁵and there are released (unchained) become the four angels, who are prepared become to the hour and day and month and years, so that they should kill a a third of the mankind.

¹⁶and the number of the armies horsemen was two times ten thousand times ten thousand; I did hear their number.

¹⁷and thus did I see in the vision the horses, and the (ones), who are sitting on them, did have breast shields fire red and sky blue and sulfur yellow; and the heads of the horses are was like heads of lions, and out of their mouths goes out fire and smoke and sulfur.

¹⁸by the three plagues is perished a third of the mankind, from the fire and the smoke and the sulfur, which go out from their mouths.

¹⁹because the power of the horses lies in their mouth and in their tails; because their tails are likened to snakes, and have heads; and with the these do they harm.

²⁰and the remaining mankind, which did not perish in the these plagues, have not repentance done from the deeds of their hands, that they should themselves not worship to demons, and idols of gold and silver and copper/brass and stone and wood, which can not see, not hear, not go around;

²¹and have not repentance done from their murder, not from their witchcraft, not from their fornication, not from their thievery.
