1and these are the birth/descendants of Aaron and of Moshe, when Hashem has spoken with Moshe on mount Sinai.

2and these are the names of Aaron's sons: the firstborn Nadav, and Avihu, El'azar, and Itamar.

3these are the names of Aaron's sons, the anointed kohanim which one has filled their hand to do the priesthood.

4and Nadav and Avihu are died before Hashem when they have brought strange fire before Hashem, in wilderness Sinai, and any children have they not have had; and El'azar and Itamar are having become kohanim (within) life (span) their father Aaron.

5and Hashem has spoken to Moshe, so to say:

6make approach/(come) near the tribe Levi, and you(SG) must it set before Aaron the kohen, and they shall him minister.

7and they shall keep his charge and the charge of the whole assembly for the Tent of Meeting, to serve the one serves/ministers of Tabernacle.

8and they shall keep all utensils of Tent of Meeting, and the charge of the children of Yisroel, to serve the one serves/ministers of Tabernacle.

9you(SG) must give the Levites to Aaron and to his sons; given back/dedicated are they given back/dedicated to him of the children of Yisroel.

10and Aaron and his sons shall you (sg) command, they shall keep their priesthood, and the foreigner which comes near shall caused to die become.

11and Hashem has spoken to Moshe, so to say:

12and I, behold, have taken the Levites from among the children of Yisroel in place of each firstborn which opens the womb among the children of Yisroel; and the Levites shall belong to me.

13for to me belongs each firstborn; in the day which I have kill each firstborn in land Egypt have I consecrated to me each firstborn in Yisroel, of a man unto a livestock. to me shall they belong: I am Hashem.

14and Hashem has spoken to Moshe in wilderness Sinai, so to say:

15count the children of Levi according to their father's household, according to their families; each male from a month old and upward shall you (sg) them count.

16and Moshe has them counted according the mouth of Hashem, so as he is commanded having become.

17and these are having been the sons of Levi with their names: Gershon, and Kohat, and Merari.

18and these are the names of the sons of Gershon according their families: Livni, and Shime'i.

19and the sons of Kehat according their families: Amram, and Yitzhar, Chevron, and Uzziel.

20and the sons of Merari according their families: Machli, and Mushi. these are the families of Levi according their father's household.

21of Gershon the family of the Livni, and the family of the Shime'i; these are the families of the Gershoni.

22their numbered according to the number of of all males from a month old and upward – their numbered are having been seven thousand and five hundred.

23the families of the Gershoni have encamped behind the Tabernacle to west.

24and the chieftain of the father's household of the Gershoni is having been Elyasaph the son of Lael.

25and the charge of the children of Gershon at Tent of Meeting is having been the Tabernacle, and the tent, its covering, and the door curtain of Tent of Meeting,

26and the curtains/hangings of the courtyard, and the door curtain of the courtyard which is around about the Tabernacle and the altar, and its cords, with all its service.

27and of Kehat the family of the Amrami, and the family of the Yitzhari, and the family of the Chevroni, and the family of the Uzzieli; this are the families of the Kehati:

28according to the number of of all males from a month old and upward, eight a thousand and six hundred which keep the charge of Sanctuary.

29the families of the children of Kohat have encamped by side of Tabernacle, to south.

30and the chieftain of the father's household of the families of the Kehati is having been Elitzaphan the son of Uzziel.

31and their charge/guard duty is having been the Aron/Ark, and the Table, and the Menorah, and the Altars, and the holy utensils which one serves with them, and the Curtain, and all its service.

32and the chieftain over the chieftains of the Levites is having been El'azar the son of Aaron the kohen, the overseers over the which keep the charge/guard duty of the (the) holy/sanctuary.

33of Merari the family of the Machli, and the family of the Mushi; this are the families of Merari.

34and their numbered according to the number of of all males from a month old and upward are having been six a thousand and two hundred.

35and the chieftain of the father's household of the families of Merari is having been Tzuriel the son of Avichayil. they have encamped at side of Tabernacle to north.

36and the ones standing charge/guard duty of the children of Merari is having been: the boards/planks of Tabernacle, and its crossbars, and its pillars, and its sockets, and all its utensils, and all its service;

37and the pillars of courtyard around round, and their sockets, and their tent pegs, and their cords.

38and the ones which have encamped before the Tabernacle to east, before the Tent of Meeting to sunrise, are having been Moshe, and Aaron and his sons, which have guarded the charge/guard duty of sanctuary, for the charge/guard duty of the children of Yisroel; and the foreigner which come near, has you should caused to die become.

39all numbered of the Levi'im, which Moshe and Aaron have counted according the mouth (command) of Hashem, after their families, all males from a month old and upward, two and twenty a thousand.

40and Hashem has said to Moshe: count all the firstborn males of the children of Yisroel from a month old and upward, and take (calculate) on the number of of their names.

41and you(SG) shall take for me, Hashem, the Levi'im in place of all firstborn among the children of Yisroel, and the livestock of the Levi'im in place of all firstborn among the livestock of the children of Yisroel.

42and Moshe did count, so as Hashem has him commanded, all firstborn among the children of Yisroel.

43and all the firstborn males, according to the number of names, from a month old and upward, after their numbered, are having been two and twenty thousand and two hundred and three and seventy.

44and Hashem has spoken to Moshe, so to say:

45take the Levi'im in place of all firstborn among the children of Yisroel, and the livestock of the Levi'im in place of their livestock, and the Levi'im shall belong to me. I am Hashem.

46and to the ransom/redemption for the two hundred and three and seventy of the firstborn of the children of Yisroel which come out more of (than) the Levi'im,

47shall you (sg) take to five, to five shekel of (to) a head (count); on (after) holy shekel shall you (sg) it take, twenty gerahs the shekel.

48and you(SG) must give this money to Aaron and to his sons: the ransom/redemption for the which come out more (in addition to) among them.

49did Moshe take this redemption money of the which are come out more (in excess) as the which are redeemed having become by the Levi'im;

50of the firstborn of the children of Yisroel has he taken this money: a thousand and three hundred and five and sixty, on holy shekel.

51and Moshe has given this redemption money to Aaron and to his sons, according to the mouth of Hashem, so as Hashem has Moshe commanded.
