His praise will continually be in my mouth.

the humble will hear of it and be glad.

and let us exalt His name together.

⁴I sought the Lord , and He answered me,[#Mt 7:7]

and delivered me from all my fears.

⁵They looked to Him and became radiant,

and their faces were not ashamed.

⁶This poor man cried out, and the Lord heard him,

and saved him out of all his troubles.

⁷The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him,[#2Ki 6:17; Da 6:22]

and delivers them.

⁸Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good;[#Ps 119:103]

blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him.

⁹Oh, fear the Lord , you His saints,[#Ps 31:23]

for those who fear Him have no want.

¹⁰The young lions suffer want and hunger,[#Job 4:10–11]

but those who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing.

¹¹Come, you children, listen to me;

I will teach you the fear of the Lord .

¹²Who is the man who desires life,

and loves many days that he may see good?

¹³Keep your tongue from evil,[#Jas 1:26]

and your lips from speaking deceit.

¹⁴Depart from evil, and do good;[#Ps 37:27]

seek peace, and pursue it.

¹⁵The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,[#Job 36:7; Ps 33:18]

and His ears are open to their cry.

¹⁶The face of the Lord is against those who do evil,[#Lev 17:10; Jer 44:11]

to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

¹⁷The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears,

and delivers them out of all their troubles.

¹⁸The Lord is near to the broken-hearted,[#Ps 145:18]

and saves the contrite of spirit.

¹⁹Many are the afflictions of the righteous,

but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

²⁰He protects all his bones;

not one of them is broken.

²¹Evil will slay the wicked,[#Ps 94:23]

and those who hate the righteous will be condemned.

²²The Lord redeems the life of His servants,[#1Ki 1:29; Ps 71:23]

and none of those who take refuge in Him will be condemned.
