¹Brothers and sisters, if someone is caught in a sin, then you who live by the Spirit should correct that person. But do it in a gentle way, and be careful, because you could be tempted too.

²Carry one another’s heavy loads, and in that way, you’ll fulfill the law of Christ.

³If anyone thinks they’re somebody when they aren’t really anybody, they’re only fooling themselves.

⁴Everyone should test their own actions. Then they’ll be able to take pride in themselves without comparing themselves to others.

⁵In that sense, each person should carry their own load.

⁶But those who are taught the word should share all good things with their teacher.

⁷Don’t get this wrong: You can’t outsmart God. Whatever you plant, that’s what you’re going to harvest.

⁸Some people plant to please their wrong desires, and from those desires they’ll harvest death. Others plant to please the Spirit, and from the Spirit they’ll harvest eternal life.

⁹So let’s not get tired of doing good, because we’ll harvest a crop at the right time if we don’t give up.

¹⁰So whenever we get the chance to do something good for anyone, let’s do it, and especially for people within the family of believers.

¹¹Look at the big letters I’m using as I write to you with my own hand!

¹²The people who are trying to get you to be circumcised want others to be impressed with them. They don’t want to suffer for saying that we have to depend entirely on the cross of Christ.

¹³Even those who are circumcised don’t follow the law, but they want you to be circumcised so they can brag about getting you to do this.

¹⁴I don’t ever want to brag about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ. Through that cross, the world has been crucified to me and I have been crucified to the world.

¹⁵It doesn’t matter whether a person is circumcised or not. What matters is that the new creation has come.

¹⁶May peace and mercy be given to all who follow this rule—to the Israel of God.

¹⁷No one should cause me any more trouble after this, because I have marks on body that show I belong to Jesus.

¹⁸Brothers and sisters, may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
