the Shlichim history 15

chapter fifteen

and some did come down from (the land) Yehudah and did teach the brothers (so to say): if you (PL) will self not allow circumcised to be in the manner Moses, can you (PL) not saved to be.

and there it is become a turmoil and not any small dispute between Paul and Bar-Nabba with them, has they decided, that Paul and Bar-Nabba and some others of them should going up to Jerusalem to the Shlichim and elders about the this one question.

and being escorted (sent) by the kehile, have they passed through Phoenicia and Samaria, and did report about the turning (to Hashem) of the nations (of the world), and created a great joy to all brothers.

arriving however in Jerusalem, are they welcomed become by the kehile and the Shlichim and the elders, and did report all, that Hashem had with them done.

but there did stand up some believers from the sect of the Pharisees, who did say: it must they (the nations (of the world)) circumcised be, and charged to keep law of Moses (the 613 commands).

and the Shlichim and the elders did themselves gather, to look into the this matter.

and when there is became a great dispute, did Peter himself stand up and said to them: brothers, you (PL) know, that from the earliest days on did Hashem (me) choose among you (PL), so that through my mouth should the nations (of the world) hear the word of the News Good and should believe.

and Hashem, who knows the hearts, did witness did to them, giving them the Spirit the Holy exactly just as also (to) us;

and did not make any distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts through the faith.

why then put to test you (PL) now out Hashem, with the laying on the neck of the disciples a yoke, which not our parents, nor we ourselves were able to bear?

no, only through the grace of the L-rd Yehoshua believe we (Jews) redeemed to become on the same way as those (non-Jews).

and the entire crowd (of) was silent; and self did listen to Bar-Nabba and Paul, who did report what for signs and wonders Hashem had done among the nations (of the world) through them.

and after the as they did silent become, did James answer, so to say:

brothers, hear self to to me; Simon has (to us) reported, how Hashem had to the first looked, to take from among the nations (of the world) a people for his Name.

and to the this agreed one the words of the prophets, as it stands written:

after this will I myself return

and again build up the fallen tent of David,

and the ruins thereof will I again build up

and it again stand up straight;

so that the rest/residue of mankind should seek the L-rd,

and all nations, which My Name is called upon them,

says the L-rd, who does the these things,

which are known from eternity on.

therefore decide I, there (be) should not stickler be on the (ones), who turn themselves to Hashem from among the nations;

but to write to them, (to) self refrain of impurity from the idols, and from fornication, and from (the flesh from a beast) which is strangled become, and of blood.

because Moses has from long generations on in every city the (ones), who preach him, because (his Torah) is read in the synagogues every Sabbath.

then did it please the Shlichim and the elders with the whole kehile to send chosen men from their midst to Antioch with Paul and Bar-Nabba: (namely,) Yehudah, who it be was him called Bar Sabba, and Sila (Silas), men leaders among the brothers;

writing by their hand: the Shlichim and the elders and brothers to the brothers, who are from the nations of the world, and find themselves in Antioch and Syria and Cilicia, peace!

in as much as we have heard, that some of us have you (PL) troubled with words, which create (for) you grief of soul; whom we have it not ordered,

is it for us pleasing, having come to an agreement, to send to you (PL) chosen men together with our beloved Bar-Nabba and Paul,

men, who have self risked life did for the name of our L-rd Yehoshua the Moshiach.

we have therefore sent Yehudah and Sila, and they will you (PL) word for word tell the same.

because it is pleasing the Spirit the Holy and us, not to place on you (PL) any further burden, except the these necessary things;

self refrain from sacrifices to idols and from blood and (from flesh of beasts) strangled and from fornication, from which if you (PL) will self observe, will you (PL) go well. peace (greeting) to you (PL).

and so are they sent away become and did go down to Antioch, have gathered the congregation and handed over the letter.

and having read it, did they self rejoiced over the consolation.

and Yehudah and Sila (Silas), who are themselves also were prophets, did comfort the brothers with many words, and them strengthened.

and after the as they had spent time a certain time, did they set out/depart become in peace from the brothers to the (ones), who had them sent.

(Sila however is it pleased, there (Antioch) to remain.)

and Paul and Bar-Nabba did remain in Antioch, teaching and preaching with more a many other (preachers) the word of the L-rd.

and in some days later did Paul say to Bar-Nabba: let us ourselves return and visit the brothers in all cities, in which we had announced the word of the L-rd, (and see) how it holding on them.

Bar-Nabba however did want to take along also that John, who they have called Mark.

but Paul did it not consider to be fitting to take along the one, who had himself deserted from them from Pamphylia, and did not accompany with them to the (Shlichus) work.

and it did come to a bitterness, such, that they have self separated one from the other, and Bar-Nabba did take Mark and themselves sailed away to Cyprus;

and Paul did choose Sila and is went away, becoming handed over by the brothers to the grace of the L-rd.

and are passed through Syria and Cilicia and did strengthen the kehiles.
