¹When the Lord brought back the captives of Zion,[#Ps 85:1; Hos 6:11]

we were like those who dream.

²Then was our mouth was filled with laughter,

and our tongue with singing;

then said they among the nations,

“The Lord has done great things for them.”

³The Lord has done great things for us,

and we are glad.

⁴Bring back our captives, O Lord ,

like the streams in the Negev.

⁵Those who sow in tears

shall reap with joy.

⁶He who goes forth weeping,

bearing seed for sowing,

shall come home with rejoicing,

bringing his sheaves with him.
