¹and Hashem has spoken to Moshe and to Aaron, so to say:

²take on the number (census) of the children of Kohat from among the children of Levi, according their families, according their father's household,

³from thirty years old and upward, and unto fifty years old, each which go enter in in service, to do work in Tent of Meeting.

⁴this is the service of the children of Kohat in Tent of Meeting round the most holy holy things:

⁵Aaron and his sons shall come at setting out/journeying from camp, and they shall remove the curtain from partition (screen), and cover therewith the Aron/Ark of Testimony.

⁶and they shall put in on it a covering of tachash hide, and spread over from above a cloth of nothing but sky-blue wool, and put in its poles.

⁷and on the Table of show-bread shall they spread a cloth of turquoise wool, and put thereon the dishes, and the bowls, and the cans (pitchers), and the cups for pour drink offering; and the Perpetual Bread shall remain thereon.

⁸and them shall spread on them a cloth of vermilion red, and this over cover with a covering of tachash hide, and put in its poles.

⁹and they shall take a cloth of sky-blue wool, and over cover the Menorah for lighting, and its branch lights, and its small tongs, and its trays, and all its oil vessels which one served it with them.

¹⁰and they shall put in it and all its utensils in a covering of tachash hide, and put on a pole.

¹¹and on the Golden Altar shall they spread a cloth of sky-blue wool, and it over cover with a covering of tachash hide, and put in its poles.

¹²and them shall take all utensils of service which one serves with them in (the) holy/sanctuary, and them put in a cloth of sky-blue wool, and them over cover with a covering of tachash hide, and put on on a pole.

¹³and they shall clean (take away) the ashes from altar, and spread on it a cloth of purple.

¹⁴and they shall put on on it all its utensils which one serves with them on it, the firepans, the meat forks, and the shovels, and the basins – all utensils of altar; and they shall over spread on it a covering of tachash hide, and put in its poles.

¹⁵and when Aaron and his sons have finished covering the holy, and all holy utensils, at setting out/journeying from camp, shall after that come the children of Kohat, them to bear; but they shall self not touch on the holy, because they will die. this is that which the children of Kohat required carry of Tent of Meeting.

¹⁶and the supervision/oversight of El'azar the son of Aaron the kohen shall be over the Oil for (of) Illumination, and the incense of fragrant spice/incense, and the Continual Minchah/Grain offering, and the Oil of Anointing; the supervision/oversight over the all Tabernacle with all that which in it, whether this (the) holy, and or its utensils.

¹⁷and Hashem has spoken to Moshe and to Aaron, so to say:

¹⁸you (PL) shall not let be cut off become the tribe of the families of the Kehati, from among the Levi'im;

¹⁹but thus do with them, so that they shall live and not die, when they approach/(come) near to the most holy holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in/enter, and them set every one on his service, and by its burden.

²⁰and they shall not go in/enter see as one inserts this (the) holy (thing), and die.

²²take on the number (census) also of the children of Gershon according to their father's household, according their families.

²³from thirty years old and upward, unto fifty years old, shall you (sg) them count, each which come serve in service, to do work in Tent of Meeting.

²⁴this is the service of the families of the Gershoni at service and at bear/carry:

²⁵they shall bear/carry the curtains of Tabernacle, and the Tent of Meeting, its covering, and the covering of tachash hide which above over it, and the door curtain of Tent of Meeting:

²⁶and the curtains/hangings of courtyard, and the door curtain of gate of the courtyard which around round the Tabernacle and the altar, and their cords, and all their service utensils; and all that which should therewith done become shall they do.

²⁷according to the mouth of Aaron and his sons shall happen the whole service of the children of the Gershoni, in all their bear/carry, and in all their service; and you (PL) shall give over in their charge/guard duty all that which they have need of bear/carry.

²⁸this is the service of the families of the children of the Gershoni in Tent of Meeting; and their charge/guard duty shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the kohen.

²⁹the children of Merari, them also shall you (sg) count according to their families, according to their father's household.

³⁰from thirty years old and upward, and unto fifty years old, shall you (sg) them count, each which go enter in in service to do the work of Tent of Meeting.

³¹and this is that which they have need of guard duty observing to bear/carry, according to their entire service in Tent of Meeting: the boards/planks of Tabernacle, and its crossbars, and its pillars, and its sockets/bases;

³²and the pillars of courtyard around round, and their sockets/bases, and their tent pegs, and their cords – all their things, and all their curtains/screens. and with the names shall you (PL) assign the things which they have need of observe to bear.

³³this is the service of the families of the children of Merari, according to all their service in Tent of Meeting, under the hand of Itamar the son of Aaron the kohen.

³⁴and Moshe and Aaron and the chieftains of the assembly have counted the children of the Kehati according to their families, and according to their father's household,

³⁵from thirty years old and upward, and unto fifty years old, each which is enter in in service to the work in Tent of Meeting.

³⁶and their numbered according to their families, are having been two a thousand seven hundred and fifty.

³⁷these are the numbered of the families of the Kehati, all which have served in Tent of Meeting, the ones which Moshe and Aaron have counted according to the mouth of Hashem by Moshe.

³⁸and the numbered of the children of Gershon according to their families, and according to their father's household,

³⁹from thirty years old and upward, and unto fifty years old, each which is enter in in service to the work in Tent of Meeting.

⁴⁰their numbered according to their families, according to their father's household, are having been two a thousand and six hundred and thirty.

⁴¹these are the numbered of the families of the children of Gershon, all which have served in Tent of Meeting, the ones which Moshe and Aaron have counted according to the mouth of Hashem.

⁴²and the numbered of the families of the children of Merari according to their families, according to their father's household,

⁴³from thirty years old and upward, and unto fifty years old, each which is enter in in service to the work in Tent of Meeting

⁴⁴their numbered according to their families, are having been three a thousand and two hundred.

⁴⁵these are the numbered of the families of the children of Merari, which Moshe and Aaron have counted according to the mouth of Hashem by Moshe.

⁴⁶all numbered which Moshe and Aaron and the chieftains of Yisroel have counted from the Levi'im according to their families, and according to their father's household,

⁴⁷from thirty years old and upward, and unto fifty years old, each which is having come serve the service of work, and the service of bearing/carrying, in Tent of Meeting.

⁴⁸their numbered are having been eight a thousand and five hundred and eighty.

⁴⁹according to the mouth of Hashem by Moshe have they them appointed every man on his service and on his burden. so is having been their counting which Hashem has commanded Moshe.
