Corinthians letter 12

Corinthians letter 12

chapter twelve

and concerning (gifts) from the Spirit, brothers, want I not, you (PL) shall be uninformed.

you (PL) know (after all), that when you (PL) were nations (of the world), how you (PL) had yourselves let guided to mute idols, and it had you (PL) led.

therefore let I you (PL) know, that anyone, who speaks through Hashem's Spirit, says not: cursed shall be Yehoshua; and anyone can not say: Yehoshua is L-rd Adon, except through the Spirit the Holy.

the gifts however are diverse, but the Spirit is the same.

and the ministries are diverse, yet is it the same L-rd.

and the operations, are diverse however the same Hashem, who works all things in all mentshn.

each one however is given the manifestation of the Spirit (the Holy) to (some) benefit.

because one is given through the Spirit a word of wisdom (Acts 16:6,7); and an other a word of knowledge (Acts 5:3), according to the same Spirit;

an other faith (Mat 17:20) in the same Spirit; and an other gifts of healing (Acts 8:7), through the one Spirit;

and an other to do wonders (1 Kgs 17:1); and an other, prophecy (Acts 11:28); and an other, to differentiate (Acts 16:16) spirits; an other, kind tongues (Mark 16:17); and an other, interpretation (1 Cor 14:27) of the tongues;

this all however is done by one and the same Spirit (the Holy), who distributes out every one individually, as He wants.

because as the body is one, and has a many body parts, and these all body parts of the body, (although) they are a many, are one body; so also is the Moshiach.

because in one Spirit are we all immersed become in the mikveh to one body, both Jews and Greeks, as slaves as free (men); and we did all drink become with one Spirit.

then the body is not one member, but a many.

if the foot shall say: because I am not any hand, do belong I not to the body, belongs he then not on account of that to the body?

and if the ear shall say: because I am not any eye, do belong I not to the body; (question) belongs not it? on account of that to the body?

if the entire body were an eye, where would have been the sense of hearing? and if it would wholly have been hearing, where would have been the sense of smell?

now however did Hashem situated the body parts, every one of them in the body so as he did want.

and if all would have been one member, where were the body?

now however are there actually a many members, but one body.

and this eye can not say to the hand: I need you not have; or again the head to the feet; I need you (PL) not have!

but on the contrary, the body parts of the body, which appear out to be the weaker ones, are (in fact) necessary.

and the (parts) of the body, which we regard to be not so noble, the these dress we with more honor; and our not respectable (ones) clothe we the most;

our respectable (ones) however need it not; yes, Hashem has (so) composed the body, that He did lavish more honor to the less important (member),

so that there shall not be any division in the body; only that the members shall care for one the other.

and if one member suffers, to suffer all members with (it); and if one member receives honor, rejoice themselves all members with (it).

and you (PL) are Moshiach's body, and members each one individually.

and Hashem did some appoint in the kehile, first Shlichim, second nevi'im, third teachers, then wonders, then gifts of healing, helpers, stewardship, various tongues.

(question) are then all Shlichim? (question) are then all nevi'im? (question) are then all teachers? (question) (do) then all miracles?

(question) have then all the gifts of healings? (question) speak then all with tongues? (question) interpret then all?

strive however to obtain the greater gifts.

and after a way, an exceptional, show I you (PL).
