¹the elder to the chosen lady and to her children, whom I have in truth loved; and not only I alone, but also all, who have recognized the truth;

²on account of that truth, who remains in us, and will be with us until on eternity;

³grace, mercy, peace, shall be with us, from G-d the Father, and from Yehoshua the Moshiach the Son of the Father, in truth and in love.

⁴I have me very rejoiced, that I have found (some) of your children go in the truth, according to as we have received a command from the Father.

⁵and now implore I you, Lady, not as I would you (SG) write a new commandment, but the (one), which we have had from beginning on, that we should love have one the other.

⁶and the these is the love: that we should live according to His commandments. the this is the commandment, (just) as you (PL) have heard from beginning on, that you (PL) shall live therein.

⁷because a many deceiver are gone out in the world into, which are not confess, that Yehoshua the Moshiach is come in the flesh. this is the deceiver and anti-Moshiach.

⁸beware self, that you (PL) shall not lose, what we have obtained, but take up a full reward.

⁹every one, who is violating and remains not in the teaching of the Moshiach, has not Hashem; who it remains yes in the teaching, this one has both the Father and the Son.

¹⁰if one comes to you (PL) and brings not the these teaching, shall you (PL) him not receive in house into, and not give any peace;

¹¹because who it gives him up peace, that (one) has a share in his evil deeds.

¹²having a many to write to you (PL), have I it (however) not wanted (do) with papyrus and ink; but I hope to come to you (PL) and to speak mouth to mouth, so that our joy shall be full.
