Psalm 113

Who Is like the Lord Our God?

1Praise the Lord ![#Ps. 104:35]

Praise, O servants of the Lord ,

praise the name of the Lord !

2Blessed be the name of the Lord[#Ps. 115:18; Job 1:21]

from this time forth and forevermore!

3From the rising of the sun to its setting,[#Ps. 50:1; Isa. 59:19; Mal. 1:11]

the name of the Lord is to be praised!

4The Lord is high above all nations,[#Ps. 99:2]

and his glory above the heavens!

5Who is like the Lord our God,[#Ps. 35:10]

who is seated on high,

6who looks far down[#Ps. 11:4; Ps. 138:6]

on the heavens and the earth?

7He raises the poor from the dust[#Ps. 136:23]

and lifts the needy from the ash heap,

8to make them sit with princes,[#Job 36:7]

with the princes of his people.

9He gives the barren woman a home,[#Ps. 68:6; 1 Sam. 2:5; Ex. 1:21; Isa. 54:1]

making her the joyous mother of children.

Praise the Lord !
