Psalms 146

Psalms 146

1Praise the Lord !

Praise the Lord , O my soul!

2While I live I will praise the Lord ;[#Ps 63:4; 104:33]

I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.

3Do not put your trust in princes,

nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help.

4His spirit departs, he returns to the earth;[#Ps 104:29; Ecc 12:7; 1Co 2:6]

on that very day his plans perish.

5Blessed is he who has the God of Jacob for his help,[#Ps 144:15]

whose hope is in the Lord his God,

6who made heaven and earth,

the sea and all that is in them;

who keeps faith forever;

7who executes justice for the oppressed;[#Ps 103:6]

who gives food to the hungry.

The Lord sets free the prisoners.

8The Lord opens the eyes of the blind;[#Mt 9:30]

the Lord raises up those who are bowed down;

the Lord loves the righteous.

9The Lord watches over the strangers;

He relieves the fatherless and widow,

but the way of the wicked He turns upside down.

10The Lord shall reign forever,[#Ex 15:18; Ps 10:16]

your God, O Zion, for all generations.

Praise the Lord !
