¹To You, O Lord ,

I lift up my soul.

²O my God, I trust in You;

let me not be ashamed;

let not my enemies triumph over me.

³Let no one who waits on You

be ashamed;

let them be ashamed

who transgress without cause.

⁴Show me Your ways, O Lord ;

teach me Your paths.

⁵Lead me in Your truth and teach me,

for You are the God of my salvation;

on You I wait all day long.

⁶Remember, O Lord , Your mercies and Your lovingkindness,[#Ps 103:17; Isa 63:15]

for they are from of old.

⁷Do not remember the sins of my youth[#Job 13:26]

or my transgressions;

according to Your lovingkindness remember me,

for Your goodness’ sake, O Lord .

⁸Good and upright is the Lord ;[#Ps 92:15]

therefore He teaches sinners in the way.

⁹He leads the humble in justice,[#Ps 23:3]

and teaches the humble His way.

¹⁰All the paths of the Lord are lovingkindness and truth,[#Jn 1:17]

for those who keep His covenant and His decrees.

¹¹For Your name’s sake, O Lord , pardon my iniquity,[#Ps 31:3; 79:9]

for it is great.

¹²Who is the man who fears the Lord ?

He will teach him the way that he should choose.

¹³He will dwell at ease,[#Pr 1:33]

and his descendants will inherit the land.

¹⁴The secret counsel of the Lord is with those who fear Him,[#Pr 3:32]

and He will make His covenant known to them.

¹⁵My eyes are ever toward the Lord ,[#Ps 141:8]

for He will pluck my feet out of the net.

¹⁶Turn to me, and be gracious to me,[#Ps 86:16]

for I am lonely and afflicted.

¹⁷The troubles of my heart have increased;

bring me out of my distresses.

¹⁸Look on my affliction and my pain,[#2Sa 16:12]

and forgive all my sins.

¹⁹Consider my enemies, for they are many,

and with what violent hatred they hate.

²⁰Guard my soul, and deliver me;

do not let me suffer shame,

for I take refuge in You.

²¹Let integrity and uprightness preserve me,[#Ps 41:12]

for I wait for You.

²²Redeem Israel, O God,

out of all its troubles.
