Romans letter 4

Romans letter 4

chapter four

what then shall we say about Abraham our father? what did he then attain according to flesh?

because if Abraham is justify become by deeds (good), has he something, with which himself to boast about, but not before Hashem.

because what says the Scriptures (the Holy)? Abraham did believe Hashem and this is him reckoned become to righteousness. (Genesis 15, 6.)

the one worker however becomes the wages not counted as grace but as a debt.

but the one, who labors not, but believes in Him, who makes right the ung-dly, becomes his faith him counted to righteousness.

David speaks also in this way about the blessedness of the man, whom Hashem counts as righteousness without (relying on self on) deeds (good):

blessed are those, whose lawless deeds are forgiven become and whose sin are covered over become;

blessed is the man, whom the L-rd G-d takes into account not to any sin. (Psalms 32, 2, 3)

(question) is then the this blessedness for the circumcised only or also for the not circumcised? because we say after all, that (for) Abraham is the faith counted become as righteousness.

how then is it (for) him counted become? being circumcised, or before he has himself circumcise was? no, not when he is already was circumcised, only when he is still was in uncircumcision;

and the sign of circumcision did he received as a seal of the righteousness of faith, which he did have before even he has self circumcise was; so that he should be the father of all not circumcised believers, that it may be also them reckoned become as righteousness;

and the father of the circumcised, to them, who not only are they circumcised, but go in the footsteps of the faith, which Abraham our father did have after before he has himself circumcised.

because what was promised, that Abraham or his seed will inherit the world, is not was through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

because if only the law people are heirs, then has the faith lost the worth and what was promised is null and void;

because the law works wrath (punishment); and where it is there is not any law, there is also not there any trespass.

because (it is) that through faith, so that it shall be according to grace, that the promise shall be assured to the all the seed; not only to the (ones) of the law itself, but also to the (ones) of the faith of Abraham, who is our everyone's father—

as it stands written: I have you appointed for a father of many nations (Genesis 17, 5) —before Hashem, whom he did believe, that he makes alive the dead and calls what not existing exactly as though it would already exist.

what, when there is not was any basis for hope, did even believe in the hope, that he would become a father of many nations, as it is (to) him promised become: so will be your seed. (Genesis 15, 5.)

and did not weak become in faith, when he did consider over his own already almost dead body—he was then old was almost hundred years—and Sarahs dead womb;

and did not doubt through unbelief in Hashem's promise, but himself strengthened in faith, giving up glory to Hashem,

and being fully convinced, that He is capable to do what He had promised.

therefore is it (for) him reckoned become as righteousness.

not only for him alone is it written become; it is (for) him reckoned become,

but also for our sakes, for whom it will reckoned become, who believe in Him, who did rouse from the dead Yehoshua our L-rd,

who was given over become (to the death) on account of our trespasses and roused become for our justification.
