The chat will start when you send the first message.
My brothers and sisters, stand firm in the Lord in this way. I love you and miss you, dear friends. You’re my joy and my crown.
I want to urge Euodia and Syntyche to work together in the Lord.
And I urge you, my true companion, to help these women, because they’ve worked with me to spread the good news. So has Clement, and so have the rest of those who’ve worked together with me. Their names are all written in the book of life.
Always rejoice in the Lord. I’ll say it again: Rejoice!
Let everyone see how gentle you are. The Lord is coming soon.
Don’t worry about anything, but in every situation, pray and give thanks to God and ask him to help you.
Then, in a way that’s too marvelous to understand, God’s peace will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
Finally, my brothers and sisters, whatever is noble, right, and pure, whatever is lovely and worthy of respect, if anything is excellent or worthy of praise, think about those things.
Whatever you’ve learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me, put into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.
You’ve made me very happy by sending me another gift. I know you were concerned about me all along, but you didn’t have the opportunity to send me anything until now.
I’m not saying this because I need something. I’ve learned how to be content in any situation.
I know what it’s like not to have the things I need, and I know what it’s like to have more than I need. I’ve learned the secret of being content in any circumstances. I’m content whether I’m well fed or hungry, whether I have more than enough or I don’t have enough.
I can do all this through the one who gives me strength.
But it was good of you to share in my troubles.
You believers at Philippi know what happened when I left Macedonia in the early days when you first heard the good news. Not one church helped me in the matter of giving and receiving except for you.
Even when I was in Thessalonica, you sent me help when I needed it, and you did that more than once.
It’s not that I want your gifts. I want greater and greater rewards to be stored up for you.
I’ve already received my full pay, and I have more than enough. I have everything I need, now that Epaphroditus has brought me the gifts you sent. They’re a sweet-smelling offering, a sacrifice that God accepts and that makes him happy.
And my God will meet all of your needs from his wonderful riches, which are yours in Christ Jesus.
May our God and Father receive glory forever and ever! Amen.
Greet all of God’s people in Christ Jesus.
The brothers and sisters who are with me send greetings.
All of God’s people here send you greetings, particularly those who work in the emperor’s palace.
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen.
