¹May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble;

may the name of the God of Jacob defend you;

²may He send you help from the sanctuary,[#Ps 73:17]

and strengthen you from Zion;

³may He remember all your offerings,[#Ac 10:4]

and accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah

⁴May He grant you your heart’s desire,[#Ps 21:2; 145:19]

and fulfill all your plans.

⁵We will rejoice in your salvation,[#Ps 9:14]

and in the name of our God we will set up our banners!

May the Lord fulfill all your petitions.

⁶Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed;

He will answer him from His holy heaven

with the saving strength of His right hand.

⁷Some trust in chariots and some in horses,[#Isa 31:1]

but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.

⁸They have collapsed and fallen,

but we have risen and stand upright.
