Fourth Vision: Joshua the High Priest

¹Then he showed me Joshua, the high priest, standing before the angel of the Lord , and the Adversary standing at his right hand to accuse him.[#Zec 6:11; #1Ch 21:1; Job 1:6–12; Ps 109:6; Rev 12:9]

²And the Lord said to the Adversary, “The Lord rebuke you, Adversary! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebukes you! Is this not a burning brand taken out of the fire?”[#Jude 9; #Am 4:11]

³Now Joshua had on filthy garments and was standing before the angel.[#Ezr 9:15; Isa 64:6]

⁴And he said to those standing before him, “Take off his filthy garments.”

Then he said, “Behold, I have removed from you your iniquity, and I will clothe you with rich robes.”

⁵And I said, “Let them place a pure turban on his head.” So they put a pure turban on his head and garments on him. And the angel of the Lord was standing by.[#Ex 29:6; Zec 6:11]

⁶And the angel of the Lord admonished Joshua, saying,

⁷“Thus says the Lord of Hosts: If you walk in My ways and keep My charge, then you will judge My house and guard My courts, and I will give to you access to these who are standing here.[#Ge 26:5; Lev 8:35]

⁸“Hear this, O Joshua the high priest, you and your friends sitting before you, for these men are a sign: Behold, I will bring My servant, the Branch.[#Isa 11:1; Jer 23:5]

⁹The stone that I have set before Joshua, on that single stone are seven eyes. And I will engrave an inscription, says the Lord of Hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of this land in one day.[#2Ch 16:9; Ps 118:22; Isa 28:16; #Isa 66:7–9; Jer 50:20]
