Corinthians letter 1

Corinthians letter 1

Paul, called to be a Shliach of Yehoshua the Moshiach, through Hashem's will, and Sosthenes, the brother,

to the kehile of Hashem, which is in Corinth, to the sanctified in the Moshiach Yehoshua, to the called (to be) holy ones, together with all, who call on the Name of our L-rd Yehoshua the Moshiach at every place, their (L-rd) and ours;

grace to you (PL) and peace from G-d, our Father, and of the L-rd Yehoshua the Moshiach.

I thank Hashem always for you (PL), for the grace of Hashem, which has to you given been in the Moshiach Yehoshua;

that in everything are you (PL) rich become in Him, in every word and in all knowledge;

according to as this witness say of the Moshiach did itself establish firmly in you (PL);

so, that you (PL) are not behind remain in any kind of gift; waiting on the revelation of the L-rd our Yehoshua the Moshiach,

who will you (PL) also establish firmly till to the end, (so that you (PL) shall be) innocent in the day of our L-rd Yehoshua the Moshiach.

yes, Hashem is faithful, through Whom you (PL) have called become to the fellowship of His Son Yehoshua the Moshiach the L-rd our.

I ask you (PL) however, brothers, by the Name of our L-rd Yehoshua the Moshiach, that you (PL) shall all speak (one and) the same, and that there shall not be among you (PL) any quarrels; but that you (PL) shall be fortified in the same mind and in the same thought.

because about you (PL), brothers, am I aware become through Chloes (sons of house), that there are here disagreements with you (PL).

and I say this, because every one of you (PL) says: I am of Paul (i.e. Paul is my Rebbe etc); and I of Apollos; and I of Kefa; and I of the Moshiach.

(question) is then the Moshiach divided become? is Paul for you (PL) hung up on the tree become? or are you (PL) immersed become in the mikveh in the name of Paul?

I thank Hashem, that I had anyone of you (PL) not immerse did in a mikveh except Crispus and Gaius;

so that anyone shall not say, that you (PL) are immersed become in the mikveh in my name.

and I have also immersed in the mikveh the sons of house of Stephanas; further know I not, if I have immerse did in the mikveh anyone else.

because the Moshiach has me not sent immerse to be in a mikveh, but to proclaim the Good News; not with any clever word, so that Moshiach's tree should not powerless become.

because the word of the tree is foolishness to the (ones), who are lost; for us however, who are saved, is it Hashem's might.

because it stands written:

I will negate make the wisdom of the wise ones,

and will reject the understanding of the wise.

where is the wise one? where the scribe? where the master of dispute of the this world? or did then Hashem not to foolish made the wisdom of the world?

because since in the wisdom of Hashem did the world not recognize Hashem through wisdom, did Hashem grant through the foolishness of preaching to save the (ones), who believe.

and while Jews request signs and Greeks seek wisdom,

call we out a Moshiach hanged up on the tree, for Jews actually a stumbling, and for Greeks a foolishness;

however for the called ones themselves, whether Jews or Greeks, Moshiach the might of Hashem and the wisdom of Hashem.

because Hashem's foolishness is wiser than men; and Hashem's weakness stronger than men.

because you (PL) see (after all) your calling, brothers, that it is there is not (among you (PL)) any many wise ones according to the flesh, not many powerful, not many genteel;

only the foolish things of the world did G-d choose, so that to shame the wise ones; and the weak things of the world did Hashem choose, so that to shame the strong;

and the non genteel of the world, and the despised did Hashem choose, even that, which is not, so that nullify to be that, which is indeed;

so, that any flesh (and blood) shall itself not boast before Hashem.

from Him however are you (PL) in the Moshiach Yehoshua, who did for us become wisdom of Hashem, and righteousness and holiness, and redemption;

so that, as it stands written: who it boasts himself, that (one) should himself boast in the L-rd (G-d). (Yirmeyah 9, 23)
