1and the whole congregation of the children of Israel has moved out of the wilderness of Sin on their journeys, according to the mouth of Hashem, and they have rested in Rephidim; and there was not having been any water for the people to to drink.

2and this people has self contended with Moshe, and they have said: give us water, we shall drink. has Moshe to them said: why quarrel you (PL) self with me? why test you (PL) Hashem?

3and the people has there thirsted after water, and the people have murmured against Moshe, and have said: after what really have you (sg) us brought up from Egypt, to to kill me and my children and my livestock by thirst?

4has Moshe cried out to Hashem, thus to say: which shall I do to the this people? after a little and they will me stone.

5has Hashem said to Moshe: go ahead of before the people, and take with you(SG) (some) from the elders of Israel; and your staff, which you (sg) have with it struck the river, take in your hand, and you(SG) must go.

6behold, I will there stand before to you(SG) on rock in Horeb; and you(SG) must strike the boulder, and there will go out from it water, and this people will drink. and Moshe has thus done before the eyes of the elders of Israel.

7and he has called the name of the place Massah and Merivah, of/for account of the quarreling self of the children of Israel, and of/for account of their testing G-d, thus to say: is Hashem there is among us or not?

8and Amalek is having come, and has battle fought with Israel in Rephidim.

9has Moshe said to Yehoshua/Yeshua: gather to us out men, and go out, fight battle with Amalek. tomorrow will I self stand on the top of mount, with the staff of G-d in my hand.

10has Yehoshua/Yeshua done thus as Moshe has him ordered – battle to fight with Amalek. and Moshe, Aaron, and Hur are having gone up on the top of mount.

11and it is having been, as Moshe has lifted up his hand, thus has conquered having been Israel, and as he has lowered his hand, thus has conquered having been Amalek.

12and Moses' hands are having become heavy; have they taken a stone and placed under him, and he has self on it sat. and Aaron and Hur have supported his hands, one from the one side, and one from the other side; and his hands have remained firm until sunset.

13and Yehoshua/Yeshua has feeble/faint made Amalek and his people with the edge of the sword.

14and Hashem has said to Moshe: write this onto for a memorial in a book, and do it in the ears of Yehoshua/Yeshua, that to erase will I erase the remembrance of Amalek, from under heaven.

15and Moshe has built an altar, and has called its name Yahweh is my banner.

16and he has said: for surely, the hand up to the throne of Hashem! battle is by Hashem with Amalek from generation to generation.
