¹and Hashem has spoken to Moshe in the wilderness of Sinai, in tent of meeting, in first day of second month, in second year after their going out from land of Egypt, so to say:

²take on the number/census figure of the entire congregation of the children of Yisroel according to their families, according to their father's houses, after the number of of names, every male, according to their head (count).

³from twenty years old and upward, everyone in Yisroel who goes out in host/legion, must you (PL) them count according their legions, you (sg) and Aaron.

⁴and with you (PL) shall be to man, to man from a tribe, a man which is the chief tribesman/head of his father's household.

⁵and this are the names of the men which shall stand with you (PL): from Reuven, Elitzur the son of Shede'ur.

⁶from Shim'on, Shelumiel the son of Tzurishaddai.

⁷from Yehudah, Nachshon the son of Amminadav.

⁸of Yissakhar, Netanel the son of Tzuar.

⁹from Zevulun, Eliav the son of Chelon.

¹⁰from the children of Yosef: from Ephrayim, Elishama the son of Ammihud; from Menasheh, Gamli'el the son of Pedahtzur.

¹¹from Binyamin, Avidan the son of Gideoni.

¹²from Dan, Achi'ezer the son of Ammishaddai.

¹³from Asher, Pagiel the son of Okhran.

¹⁴from Gad, Elyasaph the son of De'uel.

¹⁵from Naphtali, Achira the son of Enan.

¹⁶the this are having been summoned of the assembly, chieftains of their father lineage; the chief people/heads of the thousands of Yisroel are they having been.

¹⁷and Moshe and Aaron have taken the this men which are called/designated with (by) the (their) names,

¹⁸and they have gathered the whole assembly in first day of second month; and them have indicated (certified) their birth (genealogy) according their families, according their father's household, after the number of of names, from twenty years old and upward, according their head (count).

¹⁹so as Hashem has commanded Moshe, has he them counted/enumerated in wilderness Sinai.

²⁰and the children of Reuven, Yisroel's firstborn, their birth/descendants according to their families, according their father's household, after the number of of names, according their head (count), every male of twenty years old and upward, each which goes out in host/legion –

²¹their numbered, from tribe Reuven, are having been six and forty a thousand and five hundred.

²²from the children of Shim'on, their birth/descendants according their families, according their father's household, his numbered after the number of of names, according to their head (count), every male of twenty years old and upward, each which goes out in host/legion –

²³their numbered, from tribe Shim'on, nine and fifty a thousand and three hundred.

²⁴of the children of Gad, their birth/descendants according to their families, according to their father's household, after the number of of names, of twenty years old and upward, each which goes out in host/legion –

²⁵their numbered, from tribe Gad, five and forty a thousand and six hundred and fifty.

²⁶from the children of Yehudah, their birth/descendants according to their families, according their father's household, after the number of of names, from twenty years old and upward, each which goes out in host/legion –

²⁷their numbered, from tribe Yehudah, four and seventy a thousand and six hundred.

²⁸of the children of Yissakhar, their birth/descendants according to their families, according their father's household, after the number of of names, from twenty years old and upward, each which goes out in host/legion –

²⁹their numbered, from tribe Yissakhar, four and fifty a thousand and four hundred.

³⁰from the children of Zevulun, their birth/descendants according to their families, according their father's household, after the number of of names, of twenty years old and upward, each which goes out in host/legion –

³¹their numbered, of tribe Zevulun, seven and fifty a thousand and four hundred.

³²from the children of Yosef: of the children of Ephrayim, their birth/descendants according their families, according their father's household, after the number of of names, from twenty years old and upward, each which goes out in host/legion –

³³their numbered, from tribe Ephrayim, forty a thousand and five hundred.

³⁴from the children of Menasheh, their birth/descendants according their families, according their father's household, after the number of of names, from twenty years old and upward, each which goes out in host/legion –

³⁵their numbered, of tribe Menasheh, two and thirty a thousand and two hundred.

³⁶from the children of Binyamin, their birth/descendants according their families, according their father's household, after the number of of names, from twenty years old and upward, each which goes out in host/legion –

³⁷their numbered, of tribe Binyamin, five and thirty a thousand and four hundred.

³⁸from the children of Dan, their birth/descendants according their families, according their father's household, after the number of of names, from twenty years old and upward, each which goes out in host/legion –

³⁹their numbered, from tribe Dan, two and sixty a thousand and seven hundred.

⁴⁰from the children of Asher, their birth/descendants according to their families, according to their father's household, after the number of of names, from twenty years old and upward, each which goes out in host/legion –

⁴¹their numbered, from tribe Asher, one and forty thousand and five hundred.

⁴²the children of Naphtali, their birth/descendants according to their families, according their father's household, after the number of names, from twenty years old and upward, each which goes out in host/legion –

⁴³their numbered, from tribe Naphtali, three and fifty a thousand and four hundred.

⁴⁴this are the numbered which Moshe and Aaron have counted, and the chieftains of Yisroel; twelve men, to (each) one a man of his father's household are they having been.

⁴⁵and all numbered of the children of Yisroel according to their father's household, from twenty years old and upward, each which goes out in host/legion – in Yisroel, are having been

⁴⁶all numbered are having been six time hundred thousands and three thousand and five hundred and fifty.

⁴⁷but the Levites according to their father lineage are not counted/numbered having become among them.

⁴⁸and Hashem has spoken to Moshe, so to say:

⁴⁹the tribe Levi however shall you (sg) not count, and their number of shall you (sg) not take up/take sum among the children of Yisroel.

⁵⁰but you (sg) set/position the Levites over the Tabernacle of Testimony, and over all its utensils, and over all that which belongs to it; they shall bear/carry the Tabernacle, and all its utensils, and they shall it minister; and around round the Tabernacle shall they encamp.

⁵¹and at journeys of Tabernacle shall it the Levites take down, and at rest/encamping of Tabernacle shall it the Levites raise up/erect/construct, and the foreigner/alien which comes near shall caused to die become.

⁵²and the children of Yisroel shall encamp each in his camp, and each by his standard/banner, according to their legions.

⁵³and the Levites shall encamp around round the Tabernacle of Testimony, so that it shall not be a anger/wrath on the assembly of the children of Yisroel. and the Levites shall keep the charge of the Tabernacle of testimony/witness.

⁵⁴and the children of Yisroel have so done; so as all that which Hashem has commanded Moshe, so have them done.
