1and the children of Yisroel have journeyed/set out, and have rested in the plains of Moav, on other side (of) Yarden by Yericho.

Balak

2and Balak the son of Tzippor has seen all that which Yisroel has done to Emori.

3and Moav has self very terrified before the people, because they are having been many, and Moav is having been in fear/anxiety before the children of Yisroel.

4has Moav said to the elders of Midyan: now will this company/crowd eat/devour all that which round us, so as an ox eats up the grass of field. and Balak the son of Tzippor is having been the king of Moav in that time.

5has he sent messengers to Balaam the son of Be'or, to Petor which at river, in the land of the children of his people, him to call/summon, so to say: behold is a people having come out from Egypt; behold, he has covered the view/panorama of the earth, and he sits/dwells me across from.

6and now come, I entreat you, curse for me the this people, because he is stronger than I. perhaps will I prevail I shall him strike, and I will him drive before from land; because I know, that whom you (sg) bless, this one is blessed, and whom you (sg) curse, this one is cursed.

7are the elders of Moav and the elders of Midyan having gone with conjuring wages in their hand, and they are having come to Balaam, and have spoken to him the words of Balak.

8has he to them said: spend the night here the night, and I will you (PL) give an answer, so as Hashem will speak to me. and the lords of Moav are remaining/dwelling with Balaam.

9is G-d having come to Balaam, and has said: who are the this men with you(SG)?

10has Balaam said to G-d: Balak the son of Tzippor, the king of Moav, has sent to me:

11behold is this people which is having come out from Egypt, and he has covered the view/panorama of the earth. now, come curse for me him; perhaps will I can war hold/wage on him, and will him drive before.

12has G-d said to Balaam: you(SG) shall not go with them; you(SG) shall not curse this people, for he is blessed.

13is Balaam stood up in the morning, and has said to the lords of Balak: go in your land, for Hashem will not me let go with you (PL).

14are stood up the lords of Moav, and are went (their) way to Balak, and have said: Balaam has not wanted go with us.

15has Balak again a time sent lords, more and eminent/distinguished than those.

16and they are having come to Balaam, and have to him said: so has said Balak the son of Tzippor: you(SG) must self not withhold/refrain, I entreat you, from coming to me.

17for very great honor will I you(SG) put on, and all that which you (sg) will say to me, will I do; but come, I entreat you, curse me the this people.

18has answered Balaam and said to the servants of Balak: if Balak shall me give his house/palace full with silver and gold, can I not overstep the command of Hashem my G-d, to do little or great.

19and now, I entreat you (PL), remain you (PL) also here the night, and I will learn/find out become what Hashem will again speak with me.

20and G-d is having come to Balaam by night, and has to him said: since you to call/summon are the men having come, stand up, go with them, but only the thing which I will speak to you(SG), this shall you (sg) do.

21is Balaam arose in the morning, and he has saddle his donkey, and is having gone with the lords of Moav.

22and the anger/wrath of G-d has kindled that he goes, and an Angel of Hashem has self him stood for an obstacle in road. – and he is riding on his donkey, and his two servants are having been with him. –

23has the donkey saw the Angel of Hashem standing on road, with his sword brought out in his hand, and the donkey has self turned off from road, and is having gone on field; and Balaam has struck the donkey so that she to cause to change direction on road.

24has the Angel of Hashem self stood on a path/trail of the vineyards, with a closed-in enclosure of the side and a closed-in enclosure of the other side.

25and the donkey has seen the Angel of Hashem, and has self squeeze to the wall, and squeeze Balaamʼs foot to the wall; and he has her again struck.

26is the Angel of Hashem again away/went on ahead of, and has self stood in an narrow/restricted place, where it is not having been any way self deviate to the right or to the left.

27and the donkey has seen the Angel of Hashem, and has self lay down under Balaam; and the anger of Balaam has kindled, and he has struck the donkey with staff.

28has Hashem opened the mouth of the donkey, and she has said to Balaam: what have I to you(SG) done, which you (sg) have me already three times struck?

29has Balaam said to the donkey: because you (sg) have (made) object of ridicule of me; if I had a sword in the hand, would I you now (have) killed.

30has the donkey said to Balaam: am I not your donkey, which you (sg) have ridden on me your entire life until this very day? am I usual accustomed to having been you(SG) in same way to do? has he said: no.

31and Hashem has revealed (opened) the eyes of Balaam, and he has seen the Angel of Hashem standing in road, with his sword brought out in his hand. has he self inclined, and self bowed/fell on his face.

32and the Angel of Hashem has to him said: for what (why) have you (sg) struck your donkey already three times? behold, I am having come out for an obstacle, because the way you go to me contrary/perverse.

33and the donkey has me seen, and has self deviate/turn away before me the three times; when she would self not deviate/turn away from me, would I now you surely killed, and she would I let live.

34has Balaam said to the Angel of Hashem: I have sinned, for I have not known/aware, that you (sg) are standing me across from on road; and now if it is evil in your eyes, will I me turn back (home).

35has the Angel of Hashem said to Balaam: go with the men, but only the word which I will speak to you(SG), this shall you (sg) speak. is Balaam having gone with the lords of Balak.

36and Balak has heard that Balaam comes, and he is him having come out to meet at city of Moav which at border of Arnon, which at end boundary.

37and Balak has said to Balaam: have I not send sent to you(SG), you to call/summon? for what (why) are you not having come to me? am I in the true not in position you(SG) honor to do (you)?

38has Balaam said to Balak: behold, I am having come to you(SG); now, then (indeed) can I really anything speaking? this word which G-d will put in my mouth, this will I speak.

39and Balaam is having gone with Balak, and they are having come to Kiryat Chutzot.

40and Balak has sacrificed oxen and sheep, and has sent to Balaam, and to the lords which with him.

41and it is having been in the next morning, has Balak taken Balaam, and has him led up to high places of Ba'al, and he has of there seen a part of the people.
