Psalms 110

Psalms 110

Announcement of the Messiah’s Reign

1The Lord said to my Lord,[#Matt. 22:44; Mark 12:36; 16:19; Luke 20:42, 43; Acts 2:34, 35; Col. 3:1; Heb. 1:13]

“Sit at My right hand,

Till I make Your enemies Your footstool.”

2The Lord shall send the rod of Your strength out of Zion.[#(Rom. 11:26, 27)]

Rule in the midst of Your enemies!

3Your people shall be volunteers[#Judg. 5:2; Neh. 11:2]

In the day of Your power;

In the beauties of holiness, from the womb of the morning,

You have the dew of Your youth.

4The Lord has sworn

And will not relent,

“You are a priest forever

According to the order of Melchizedek.”

5The Lord is at Your right hand;[#(Ps. 16:8)]

He shall execute kings in the day of His wrath.

6He shall judge among the nations,

He shall fill the places with dead bodies,

He shall execute the heads of many countries.

7He shall drink of the brook by the wayside;

Therefore He shall lift up the head.
