Timothy letter 3

Timothy letter 3

chapter three

this is a faithful word: if one aspires to the position of a Mashgiach (Overseer), desires he a good thing.

the Mashgiach (Overseer) must therefore be without a flaw, a husband of one wife, sober, modest, a humble person, a bringing in stranger, capable teacher;

not any drunkard, not any fighter; but mild, not any quarreler, not any money lover;

who rules well with his own house, holding his children in submission, with full moral earnestness

(if however one know not how to rule over his own house, how then will he be concerned over the kehile of Hashem?);

not any new disciple, so that he shall not become puffed up and fall under in the judgment of Satan.

and he must also have a good name from the outside, so that he shall not fall into in any shame and in the Satan's trap.

also so must the deacons be serious (people), not any double tongued, not any lovers of much wine, not inclined towards shameful gain;

who hold the mystery of the faith in a pure conscience.

and let the these before all be tested; later should they serve as deacons, if they are without a flaw.

also in this way must the women be serious, not any gossip speakers, temperate, faithful in all things.

deacons should be husbands of one woman, who rule well over their children and over their own houses;

because if they have well served as deacons, obtain they themselves a good position and great boldness in the faith, which is in the Moshiach Yehoshua.

this write I you (SG), hoping to you (SG) to come in a short time,

and if I will myself delayed, so that you (SG) shall know how one needs himself behave in Hashem's house, which is the kehile of the living G-d, the pillar and foundation of the truth.

and not to deny great is the mystery of fearer of heaven: He, who has Himself unveiled in the flesh, is proven just become in the Spirit, did Himself appear to angels, is announced become to the nations (of the world), believed on in the world, received up become into glory.
