1 Timothy letter 4

chapter four

1the Spirit however says expressly, that in later times will some fall away from the faith, holding themselves to deceitful spirits and devilish teachings

2through the hypocrisy of liars, who wear in their own (cauterized) conscience a sign (mark) burnt out as with a glowing (hot) iron,

3forbidding wedding to have, and (ordering) one shall himself abstain from (certain) foods, which Hashem did create to enjoy with thanksgiving for the believers and who have recognized the truth.

4because entire creation of Hashem is good (note: verse says “good”; not “food”), and nothing is rejected, if one receives it only on with a blessing,

5because it becomes holy through Hashem's word and through prayer.

6if you (SG) will propose the these things before the brothers, will you be a good servant of the Moshiach Yehoshua, brought up in the words of the faith and of the good teaching, which you (SG) you have already followed;

7but the profane and old wives legends shall you (SG) avoid. exercise yourself however to fearer of heaven;

8because the bodily exercise brings few benefits; fearer of heaven however is of benefit for everything, having a promise for the present life and for the (world) which comes.

9trustworthy is this word, and worthy wholly accepted to to be;

10because for the this strive we ourselves and are being insulted, because we have put our hope on the living G-d, who is the helper of all men, especially of the believers.

11this shall you (SG) command and teach.

12shall anyone not despise do your youth, but be an example for the believers, in word, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

13until I will come, give attention on the reading, on the exhortation saying, on the teaching.

14neglect not within you (SG) the gift of grace, which is you (SG) given become through a prophecy, with laying on of the hands of the elders.

15be concerned about the these things; occupy yourself with them, so that your progress shall be obvious clear for every (one).

16give attention for you (SG) yourself and for the teaching. remain in them; because (in) doing the these, will you save you yourself, and those, who hear you.
