¹Not to us, YHWH, not to us,

but to your name give glory,

for your lovingkindness, and for your truth’s sake.

²Why should the nations say,

“Where is their God?”

³But our God is in the heavens.

Hᴇ does whatever ʜᴇ pleases.

⁴Their idols are silver and gold,

the work of human hands.

⁵They have mouths, but they can’t speak.

They have eyes, but they can’t see.

⁶They have ears, but they can’t hear.

They have noses, but they can’t smell.

⁷They have hands, but they can’t feel.

They have feet, but they can’t walk,

nor can they speak through their throat.

⁸Those who make them will be like them,

as will everyone who trusts in them.

⁹Israel, trust in YHWH!

Hᴇ is their help and their shield.

both small and great.

¹⁴May YHWH increase y’all more and more,

y’all and your* children.

¹⁵May y’all be blessed by YHWH,

who made heaven and earth.

¹⁶The heavens are YHWH’s heavens,

but ʜᴇ has given the earth to the children of humankind.

¹⁷It is not the dead who praise YHWH,

nor any who go down into silence,

¹⁸but we will bless YHWH,

from this time forward and forever more.
