¹Protect me, God,

for I take refuge in you.

²I say to YHWH, “You are my Lord.

Apart from you I have no good thing.”

³As for the holy people who are in the earth,

they are the excellent ones in whom is all my delight.

⁴Those who desire another god will increase in sorrow

I will not offer their drink offerings of blood,

or take their names on my lips.

⁵YHWH is my portion and my cup.

You make my lot secure.

⁶The boundary lines have fallen to me in pleasant places.

Indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.

⁷I will bless YHWH, who counsels me.

Yes, even at night my mind instructs me.

⁸I have set YHWH continually before me.

Because ʜᴇ is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

⁹Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices.

My flesh will dwell in safety.

¹⁰For you will not leave my soul in Sheol,

nor will you allow your faithful one to see decay.

¹¹You will show me the path of life.

In your presence is fullness of joy.

In your right hand there are pleasures forever more.
