Psalm 110

Sit at My Right Hand

1The Lord says to my Lord:[#Matt. 22:44; Mark 12:36; Luke 20:42, 43; Acts 2:34, 35]

“Sit at my right hand,

until I make your enemies your footstool.”

2The Lord sends forth from Zion[#Ps. 68:35]

your mighty scepter.

Rule in the midst of your enemies!

3Your people will offer themselves freely[#Judg. 5:2; Neh. 11:2; #Ex. 35:29]

on the day of your power,

in holy garments;

from the womb of the morning,

the dew of your youth will be yours.

4The Lord has sworn[#Heb. 7:21; #Ps. 132:11; Heb. 6:17, 18]

and will not change his mind,

“You are a priest forever

after the order of Melchizedek.”

5The Lord is at your right hand;[#Ps. 16:8]

he will shatter kings on the day of his wrath.

6He will execute judgment among the nations,[#Isa. 2:4; Joel 3:12; Mic. 4:3]

filling them with corpses;

he will shatter chiefs

over the wide earth.

7He will drink from the brook by the way;[#Judg. 7:5, 6]

therefore he will lift up his head.
